Gossip is defined as casual or unconstrained conversation or reports about other people, typically involving details that are not confirmed as being true. Gossip is spreading rumors. And rumors are those things that are professed to be true even if there is no evidence of the fact. People absolutely love to gossip! It has always been and always will be a favorite pastime. Just look at all the reality shows that have materialized in the past years. It used to be that soap operas held our minds and emotions captive. I lived in Misawa, Japan when General Hospital had the "Luke and Laura" drama. Haven't watched a soap since!
Unrestrained conversation…Unconstrained means you hold back nothing. It means you never take into consideration how the person you are talking about feels; you take on the role of knowing it all and knowing what's best in that person's life! You are likely incorrect and should attend to your own affairs because you may be in a worse position than they are and don't even know it!
I enjoy hearing positive news about others and hope those causing trouble get what they deserve. But to be honest, it is exhausting talking about and secretly waiting for what I feel they deserve to manifest. But wait, I must as I am not their judge nor jury and if I try to sort them out, it may prove to be the wrong move. Sometimes you just must leave some things alone and give them enough rope to hang themselves.
