Embrace the Season of Unlimited Possibilities By Marilyn Joyce

Updated: Dec 29, 2021

Jesus was matter-of-fact: “Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. Mark 11:22 MSG

Get ready! 2021, the year of unlimited possibilities is here, and it is time to recognize that God has no limits. So, adjust your crowns, Sisters. Take the limits off your life and allow God to reveal the success strategies you will need for your season of unlimited possibilities.

  • Journalize your way to the next level

Success strategies are often the result of a process of self-reflection. Write those reflections in your journal so you can easily review and pray over your inspirations. Otherwise, your ideas will be forgotten as the months go by. George Eliot (Mary Anne Evans) once said: ‘It’s never too late to be what you could have been’. There is nothing more joyful than completing your goals and finding yourself moving forward to start another season of new possibilities.

  • Keep doing what you’re doing

There’s so much excitement generated by the desire to get started with an inspired idea, it can sometimes override good judgment. How many times have you heard someone complain about the spouse who is no longer contributing to the family finances because they quit their job (prematurely) in order to start a new business? Maybe they started a new ministry, a house flipping venture, a YouTube channel, or some kind of multilevel marketing endeavor. Perhaps they’ve gone into debt to invest in exercise equipment, a gym membership, diet foods, or computer equipment they’ve never actually used.

King David was a warrior, yet he made time to ask God, ‘should we go into battle?’ Avoid making drastic changes that will create immediate chaos with those you love. Too many people give up on their goals when they lose the support of close family and friends. If you alienate them from the onset, it may cost you more than you’re willing to pay in the long run.

  • Legitimize your credentials

Are you starting a new ministry this year? Writing a book? Going independent with your business endeavors? Setting up an office from which to run your operations? Whatever you plan to do, get the necessary credentials that prove you are qualified to do it. Many times, people have a natural talent or ability to provide products or services to the public: sewing, painting, crafting, selling items on Ebay, or event planning may fall into that category.

However, there are some fields that require a license or special certification. If that is the case, you should pursue your purpose by taking ownership of the process. Invest the necessary time, money, and energy into training for credentials, obtaining a license, patents, and copyrights, that will qualify you to be a legitimate competitor in the industry.

  • Market your credibility

The success of your possibilities may depend upon a creative marketing campaign. The internet offers advantages that have become as traditional as radio, newspapers, and television. Whatever services you are selling, your website and other materials should reflect your credibility. For example, if you own a car lot, when potential customers visit your website there should not be 3 pages of preaching and scripture before they see the first car for sell. There should be no question that you sell cars. If you own a cleaning service, your website and brochures should tell potential customers about the services you offer, prices, and contact information. You may be a very devout Christian, but (unless you are a ministry) Christianity is not the product you are selling. If you do have a ministry AND you are also in business, separate them in the market sphere. Have a ministry website with ministry related products. Then host an additional, separate business website with its own materials.

Because there have been a number of business scams done in the name of religious groups over the years; people no longer assume that doing business with a religious person will be a better experience. Just because you advertise your faith in connection with your business does not reassure the public that they are going to get a better deal. Let your business advertising reflect your business credibility, experience, and the advantage of doing business with you. For example: 18 years of experience, ranked #1 in the state, or we open earlier and close later for your convenience.

  • Guard your heart

Don’t cast your pearls before swine. In other words, work on your

destiny quietly. It really is not anyone’s business what you are working on unless you can deal with the criticism that it may bring. Everyone is not going to celebrate you. And if you are not strong enough to be your own cheerleader, we may be meeting here at this same time next year to talk about your same goals. This is why I encourage you to keep this list in your journal:

Who are your Allies?

Your Cheerleaders?

Your Critics?

Your real & loyal Friends?

Your Partners?

Your Mentors?

Your Spiritual leaders?

Your Encouragers?

Your Dream mates?

Your Passion Partners?

Your Purpose Partners?

Got it? Now go out there and embrace your season of unlimited possibilities!
